Centurion conducts its flagship risk assessment and hostile environments training courses nearly every week in the UK and once a month in the USA. Our scheduled Hostile Environments and Emergency First Aid Training (HEFAT®) courses are open to all-comers and encompass a wide range of subjects geared towards minimising risks to personal safety for those who live or work in volatile regions.  

These residential training courses include discussions and practical exercises on Mines and Booby Traps, Weapons and Ballistics, Emergency Navigation, Kidnapping, Personal Security, and a great deal of field emergency first aid training that assumes definitive care is not immediately available. At least 68 per cent of our training takes place outdoors.

Each week our instructors pass on life-saving skills to those who travel to places that are exposed to a higher than normal degree of danger.  

All of Centurion’s training subjects can be adapted for training in the field, and can be conducted anywhere in the world.

Centurion's residential courses are conducted at well-equipped training centres in the United Kingdom and the United States.

In the United Kingdom the Centurion Safety School is located at Hanover House in the grounds of Copthorne Hotel Reading at Pingewood, Reading, Berkshire. It is conveniently placed for access from London's Heathrow airport.

In the United States we train at Woodstock in the Shenandoah Valley, Virginia, 90 minutes south-west of Washington, DC.

The high-calibre professional safety instructors and advisors who work for Centurion are some of the best in the business.

They have had military service of approximately 20 years each and also hold civilian NVQ instructor and assessor qualifications, which includes the teaching of First Aid.

Centurion is a registered named provider of UK Health and Safety Executive-approved First Aid Training. We also hold international BS EN ISO 9001 quality assured status for our Hostile Environments and Emergency First Aid Training (HEFAT®).
