Training
Would have no hesitation in recommending course to other medics / doctors going to hostile / isolated environments – in hospital practice you don’t meet many 'first aid' scenarios.

Specialist Training

Pre-Theatre CONDO Training for Contractors on Deployment Overseas

Contractors and other civilians who wish to deploy overseas to supply commercial services within the UK Ministry of Defence’s Joint Operations Area or theatre of operation in support of UK Armed Forces are required to undertake CONDO training. This is provided by civilian training companies approved and accredited by the Defence Manufacturers Association (DMA).

Centurion

Centurion is currently one of only 3 training providers who are CONDO partners, within the DMA’s CONDO Sponsors Group, combined with a successfully proven track record of 11 years providing specialist hostile environments training (HEFAT®) to international media personnel, aid agencies, NGOs, reconstruction workers, civilian contractors to the military and military-affiliated personnel.

Centurion is UK Health and Safety Executive approved as a first aid trainer and has achieved BS ISO EN 9001 status, an international mark of quality, for its Hostile Environments and Emergency First Aid Training (HEFAT®). The company is staffed by former Royal Marines instructors, and as such is well positioned to offer CONDO training to civilian employees working alongside the military. In addition, we have a long established track record in the provision of high-quality, practical safety training to civilians deployed to unstable environments worldwide, and are the lead training provider in this field.

CONDO training requires that personnel are adequately prepared for operational deployments, and that this training is dependent on a number of factors including the nature and location of the operation, the duration of task and the threat.

Centurion offers a 2-day training course that fully complies with the MoD’s CONDO requirements under DEFCON 697 (Contractors on Deployed Operations) and DEFSTAN 05-129 (Defence Standard (Processes and Requirements)) including:

  • Security and safety awareness training
  • First Aid training
  • Travel and transport security and safety training
  • Legal and contractual awareness training
  • Theatre-specific information.

All training can be adapted to suit the deployment environment, with training adapted geographically, environmentally, risk-specifically or task-specifically.

Following Centurion's CONDO Training, personnel will be issued with a theatre-specific and/or deployment-specific Centurion CONDO Training Certificate as proof of training to assist with clients’ CONDO compliance paperwork.

CONDO training can be conducted at Centurion’s residential training centre an hour southwest of London, or can be adapted for provision at the client's location. For further information, please contact Centurion using the enquiry box below.
