Biological & Chemical Warfare Awareness

This request-only course takes place over the course of 1 full day and is designed to raise awareness of the specific threats associated with the use of biological and chemical weapons and warfare.

Anyone assigned to areas that may be affected by this kind of weapons system will require specialised pre-departure training, and a range of safety equipment with instruction in its effective use.

The course examines issues such as how these kinds of weapons are delivered, the different characteristics of biological and chemical agents and their effects.

It also looks at what protective equipment is available, its range, limitations and where to get it, how to use it properly, how to detect and monitor an attack, how to treat casualties, and how to decontaminate thoroughly.
