Centurion is offering our clients a series of 1-day safety awareness courses for Sports Journalists and Sports Production Teams who are heading to South Africa to cover the upcoming soccer World Cup.

The 1-day SA World Cup Civil Disturbances & Urban Terrorism Training is a tailored programme that covers: 

·      Terrorism Threat - the potential threat to large scale events from terrorist attack

·      Bomb Awareness and IEDs - types of Improvised Explosive Devices, how they’re used, and discussing reaction from security and safety services

·      Personal Security - including carjacking, street crime, hotel and travel security

·      Riots and Civil Disturbances - how and why riots including football violence and demonstrations start, how demonstrators and security forces may react.

·      Pre-planning and Recces

·      Emergency First Aid

This is a classroom-based course can be conducted a client’s location, or at our training location in Reading.
