October 2011 was a busy month for Centurion instructors. A second team of instructors was despatched to Bangkok to conduct regionalised safety training for journalists based in the Far East region. The week-long course coincided with some of the worst flooding the country has ever seen. Fortunately evacuation plans weren’t necessary and the course was again very well received. As in the Middle East, journalists working in the Far East find it difficult to come to the UK or USA for training, so regionalised training like this proved to be a successful solution.
