Centurion Online Risk Assessments

Hostile environments training company Centurion has launched online risk assessments for more than 200 countries.

The free service is part of Centurion’s website www.centurionsafety.net which has been completely re-designed with improved navigation, clearer descriptions and an online store for specialist equipment of use to people travelling to parts of the world where they may face danger.

“The new website provides a snapshot of any given country’s risk profile,” said Paul Rees, Managing Director of Centurion Risk Assessment Services Ltd.

“It answers all the key questions – What are the problems?  What’s the terrain like?  The climate?  How about natural hazards?  Is the water safe to drink?  What are the health issues?  And environmental ones?  It’s all there even road conditions – viewable at a glance in an immediate briefing indispensable to anyone concerned about safety and security in the world’s hot spots.

“Nowadays there’s scarcely anywhere on Earth that is completely safe so we expect this to be a popular service of value both to our clients from the media, aid agencies and companies doing business in tricky places abroad as well as to travellers among the general public.”

Centurion’s military-trained, civilian-qualified instructors teach risk awareness, first aid and survival skills to thousands of people whose work takes them to danger zones.  Courses are run regularly in the United Kingdom, the United States and, on demand, other locations.  The company also provides safety and security advisors to people in global hot spots like Afghanistan and Iraq.
