HEFAT® Courses

1-day Frontline First Aid Training Skills

A 1-day course for those who are imminently deploying to volatile areas or a war zone, or a place where there is little or no definitive care, where traumatic injuries are more likely to occur, and where evacuation to find medical assistance could take a number of hours.

This course is designed for those who have already attended the 5-day HEFAT® course.  The FFATS 2 course is designed as both an immediate skills refresher course, but includes more advanced field first aid in relation to traumatic injuries.

The course can be undertaken at a client’s location, or at our training centre, and includes the following subjects:

•    DRABC
•    The Mortality Curve (Penetrating Injuries)
•    Catastrophic Haemorrhage
•    Practical Training
•    Airways and Breathing
•    Circulation
•    Closed Head Injuries, Hypothermia and Burns
•    Stages of Care
•    Evacuation
