Local militia groups, weapons (various), ballistics danger areas, vehicle security, personal security, ambushes, kidnappings, bandits/corruption, gunfire, legal/illegal checkpoints, armed robberies, general travel, navigation, off road driving, building/office security, hot weather injuries, personal hygiene, helicopter safety, sanitation/sterilisation, clothing & equipment, emergency first aid, cultures/customs, communications, emergency shelters. Do not take photos of the palace, police buildings, government offices or anything military.

Population pressure forcing settlement in marginal areas results in overgrazing, severe soil erosion, and soil exhaustion; desertification; Highlands Water Project controls, stores, and redirects water to South Africa.
Driving standards are low and you should drive carefully. Animals roaming on the roads are a hazard. When driving keep windows and doors locked, especially in Maseru.
