First Aid Training

An assessment should be made by all employers about the level of first aid training required for their working environment.  To help employers, the HSE has produced guidelines about the numbers of trained first aiders required for different environments (http://www.hse.gov.uk/firstaid/index.htm)

Centurion is approved by the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) to provide a high standard of First Aid Training.  All of our instructors are qualified First Aid Trainers and First Aid Training Assessors.  In addition, they hold City & Guilds Level 3 – (PTLLS) Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector qualifications.

The company teaches first aid every day, as an integral part of our regularly scheduled HEFAT courses.  In addition we can offer clients the following stand-alone first aid courses:

• 1-day Emergency First Aid At Work Course (EFAW)

• 3-day First Aid At Work Course (FAW)

• 2-day First Aid At Work Re-qualification Course (FAW+)

• Half-day Refresher First Aid Course (minimum 3 hours)

• 1-Day Defibrillation Course

• Half-Day Defibrillation Refresher Course

All courses can take place either at our training venue in Reading, or at clients' locations.

For most courses we are able to take individual bookings, and for others we do require a minimum number of delegates to attend.

NB: The HSE strongly recommends that all First Aiders attend an annual refresher programme of a minimum three hours duration.
