I had a great experience and found the instruction very enlightening and helpful. Thanks. (Medill, 25 July 2010)
I loved the aspect of weapons / mines lessons in which the trainers told us how to tell when a weapon is in safe / fire mode, and tips for how to tell professional from amateur / insurgent soldiers. Nice realistic hands-on (distraction-filled) first aid. Kidnapping: Where else would I get to learn how I’d react to being hooded and paraded through the woods? (Medill, 25 July 2010)
Thank you! Very digestible and applicable training. (Medill, 25 July 2010)
A well-run, organised and informative weekend (Medill, 25 July 2010)
The fake capture was an excellent way to expose us to what that situation may be like (Medill, 25 July 2010)
Thank you very much for this week, it’s been an amazing eye-opener. I’ve learned masses, seen my mistakes and feel much more prepared and equipped for the future for myself and the team. (Bible Society, 20 August 2010)
Excellent. I feel much more equipped now. It’ll make me much more aware about how I reduce the risk of / respond to dangerous situations. Thank you ! (World Vision, 20 August 2010)
Thanks so much for the excellent course. I'd been wanting to come on it for years, but being freelance, had never been able to afford it. It certainly lived up to expectations.
The very next day I put the first aid into practice, when my neighbour accidentally cut his hand right across the palm on a piece of glass. I wrapped it, made him keep it elevated and took him to hospital as the wound was quite deep and needed stitches. I'd have panicked before, but was very calm. In fact, I told him that I wasn't sure I could actually be bothered as it wasn't an amputation! Mercifully he saw the funny side.
I'm now just planning our assignment to Burkina Faso and Ghana and for the first time, have done security plans. I feel much more informed and able to face whatever I may meet.

Planning: Being able to assess risk and take action to prepare for different environments. First aid: Useful in any environment. All of it was valuable. Every ounce of info will be beneficial. This (CONDO) course will be highly recommended to my peers and associates
